Mullanimal Seeks Vengeance

Mullanimal's powers had been replenished by many thousands of red lead blaas, and he was furious.  His thoughts had returned to his final judgement and the prison sentence given unto him by the Council of the 32 counties.  With these sole thoughts in his mind he became bent on tracking down his imprisoners.  He left county Waterford and headed for Co. Wexford, Johnstown to the site of the Judgement to kill his jailers.

His size had increased 100 fold due to the sheer number of red lead blaas ingested.

When he arrived on site, he found that all the council had long since passed and thus vengeance could not be his.  He fell into a deep depression and went into the local forest to dwell on the matter, many days had passed until  he realised that he was hungry, however, being in Wexford there were no red lead blaas available so he shrank and shrank and grew hungrier and hungrier all the while his strength was falling away. Before he faded into oblivion, he decided he must make his way back to his secret base in Waterford to renew his quest of vengeance against the council of the 32 counties.  He decided he must eat!

This food substance did not go down well with Mullanimal and he began halucinating.  He made way for Waterford and robbed several punnets of Wexford Strawberries on his way, which made him even worse, he passed through Hook head and swam across to Crooke making his way past Passage East, Woodstown, Dunmore East, finally making it to the beach in Tramore.  He stole a sandy chip from an unsuspecting tourist as he thought this excellent Waterford food would bring him back to full strength

Alas, the damage was done and Mullanimal crawled through the dump and over the fields making his way back to his secret base in Gaulstown, however he was too weak to make it there before collapsing.

The UpTheDeise team searched for Mullanimal for many days as we were fully aware of the situation.  They eventually found a trail of regurgitated strawberries, mushrooms and chips on the back road to tramore, with Mullanimal half dead beside them!!!

Mullanimal, lies in his own strawberry vomit near his secret base!

Wellboy, with great caution (as suggested by one of our messageboard subscribers), approached the creature and nudged him.  His limp, lifeless body struck Wellboy with grief so he picked him up.

The crew then realised that Mullanimal was half-dead if not all-dead, they tried CPR and other ressusitation techniques, they even tried putting red lead under his nose but alas, there was no sign of life, he was presumed dead.

Mullanimal, presumed dead

The team cried great tears of sadness, seeing this poor creature, in the white and blue, so wretched and sick.  They cried for hours and hours.

That night, Keith Barry was performing in the Forum, Wellboy and the crew were going down as they knew the great Magician well.  One of the crew shouted, "maybe Keith can save him... bring him back to life!" they all agreed it was worth a shot and wrapped up Mullanimal and brought him to the show.

After the show, Wellboy approached Keith with Mullanimal and begged him to cure this creature.  Keith agreed, but said it will be a painful experience.  He put is two fingers up Mullanimal's shorts and said the magic words "Up The Deise" and a bright light came from his fingers.

Mullanimal's limp, lifeless body began to move and before we knew it he jumped off Keith's fingers and into Wellboy's hands.  He looked scared and weak.  Wellboy thanked Keith profusely and took Mullanimal back to safety.  Wellboy then purchased large quantities of red lead and blaas to start Mullanimal down the road of recovery.  It will be some time before we can say any more on the matter.  We do not want the government getting involved as they may take him away to a secret lab and perform experiments on him.

For now all that can be said is Mullanimal is alive and well.

More to follow soon...
